Durham Wayfinders

Launched in 2008 along with the opening of the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC), the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau (DCVB) administers the online scheduling system that allows volunteers to easily register and search for opportunities to volunteer at Durham’s cultural facilities, events, festivals, convention information desks and visitor center.

The objective of the Durham Wayfinders is to offer excellent guest services by greeting our visitors and assisting with directions and information about area hotels, restaurants and things to see and do while in Durham. There’s only one chance at a great first impression; we want each visitor to have the ultimate experience from start to finish.

Wayfinder Spotlight

Curtis Greeson

Thank you Durham Wayfinders for your recognition as the Volunteer of the Quarter. It is truly an honor indeed to be in your Spotlight.

I am a native of Atlanta, GA and relocated to the Triangle area in DEC 2010. My varied interests include; theater, acting, writing, jazz music and history; visual arts, film and more. I especially enjoy writing poetry, short stories, oratorical speeches and humorous dialog.  

A member of both The Mahogany Experience Writers Group - Durham, NC and Indigo Ink Writers in Atlanta, GA.

It has been a pleasure to be part of Durham Wayfinders and to be able to be an active part of the greater Triangle arts and culture community; from the eclectic shows of Duke Performances; to the classic plays of Playmakers Repertory and ManBitesDog theatre; to the rich historic venue of the Carolina Theatre: I have enjoyed being an active participant in giving back to things that enhance community life and living.
