Accounting & Facilities Management Highlights

Accounting & Facilities Management provides accounting and budget functions, including monthly status reports and coordination of the annual independent audit. It also ensures a productive internal environment and attractive external base for the conduct of DCVB’s mission as the community’s way to attract and serve visitors.

  • Innovated an online encumbrance review process to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Facilitated the annual financial audit and filed it with the City and County after reviews by the DCVB – Tourism Development Authority and the N.C. Local Government Commission.
  • Participated in benchmark surveys conducted by the N.C. Association of CVBs and the International Association of CVBs related to compensation, expenditure ratios and policies, community use of visitor-related tax revenue, etc.
  • Facilitated a comprehensive review, update, and adoption of policies for Bureau travel, client entertainment, and public records.
  • Upgraded internal and external security to ensure a safe environment for both staff and visitors and to ensure the protection of assets.
