New Microbrewery Calls Durham HomeDurham’s New Brewery, Plus Recent National Restaurant Write-Ups
Durham has been known for its food scene and its nationally recognized restaurants and chefs for years, and now due to the popularity of many places like Bull McCabes and Tyler’s Restaurant & Taproom, the World Beer Festival and now, a new brewery, the community is becoming a great location for beer connoisseurs as well. The North Carolina General Assembly passed legislation during the 2005 session that lifted the previous 6% alcohol beverage volume (ABV) cap to 15%, which has allowed more craft breweries and brewpubs to open in the Tar Heel State.
You'll find the Belgian Golden Ale on tap at Satisfaction in Brightleaf Square, and Tyler's Taproom will start pouring it next week. _______________________________
