Travel, even short distances to a close-by destination, is exhilarating because there is an excitement to exploring the new and unknown. In doing so, we change and grow with those new experiences.
In America, food has become more important than ever – especially seeking out great ingredients, new cuisines and practitioners and artisans who do great things with those ingredients. With this fascination also came an opportunity. The marriage of all of this is a food tour, of which there are three options in Durham – two are just food, the third is beer-focused.
Taste Carolina Food Tours and Triangle Food Tour are two operators in Durham that take visitors to some of the culinary high spots in Durham in a relatively short period of time. Those on the tour will sample food, see places and meet chefs.
Durham also has three breweries, and so there is a brewery tour of those run by Beltline Brew Tours. As implied by the name, the tour brings visitors Durham’s three breweries, has tastings and brewery tours at each location. For the beer lover, there may be not better way to spend a little time in the place where great things happen.
