Tipping Guidelines
Airport
- Skycaps: $1 per bag (slightly more if unusually heavy or bulky)
- Wheelchair Assistance: $3- $5
- Electric Cart Trans: $1 to $2
Lodging
- Porter: $5 or $1 - $2 per bag
- Room Service Waiter: 18% (usually built into the bill – if built in, no additional gratuity needed)
- Concierge: $5 - $20 depending on complexity of service provided
- House Keeper: $3 - $5 a day
Passenger Vehicles for Hire
- Limousine Driver: 20%
- Taxi Driver: 15% - 20%
- Parking Attendant: $2 ($5 if attendant has to go a great distance to retrieve car)
Motor Tours
- Coach Driver: $1 to $2 per person per day
- Tour Guide: $1 to $2 per person per day
Restaurant
- Wait Staff: 15% to 20% pre-tax (20% for 4 star restaurant or larger parties)
- Maitre d’: $5 for special services
- Bartender: $1 - $2 per drink, or 10% -15% of tab
- Coat Check: $1 - $2 per item
Train
- Redcaps: Posted rate plus 50 cents
- Stewards: 15%Dining Car Wait Staff: 15%
Spa Services: 10% - 20%
Hair Dresser: 10% - 20%
