Featuring current works by Christine Holton. Christine's interest in the use of mirror and glass began in high school. She was given an art project to include the human form. She immediately decided to use unorthodox materials of wrapped wire bursting from shards of mirror glued to wood to create the human form. This project planted the seed that would only germinate and fuel her intrigue with the distortion in the reflection.
She initially attempted to recreate these distortions in a 2-dimensional format with paint, though eventually that felt quite limiting. The fractured distortion of an image has become a representation of the way that Christine felt about herself during her formative years. Today, her work is very intuitive and is constantly evolving.
