NCCU Jazz Studies presents "Keep The Vision Alive," A Jazz Benefit Concert featuring Ellis Marsalis & Marcus Anderson. Also appearing are the NCCU Jazz Ensemble and NCCU Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

NCCU was the first university in the state to offer the Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies. The program has now evolved to add a comprehensive vocal jazz component and the Master of Music in Jazz Composition and Jazz Performance. This concert will support the continuing activities of a historical and cultural landmark of North Carolina. 

The Jazz Studies Program at North Carolina Central University is under the leadership of saxophonist/flutist Ira Wiggins. NCCU Jazz Studies program offers study leading to the bachelor of music and master of music in Jazz Studies. Alums of the program include internationally renowned performing, recording and touring artists leading their groups as well as performing with Gregory Porter, Houston Person, Kim Burrell, Joey Calderazzo, Branford Marsalis, the late Prince and others. NCCU Jazz Studies alums are teaching as adjunct and full time professors at colleges and universities, as well as K-12 music teachers.
