Places to Shop

Discover  Durham’s unique shopping opportunities, including the Brightleaf and Ninth Street shopping districts where funky merchandise and unexpected treasures abound.

Galleries, antique and collectibles shops, and other specialty gift shops are sprinkled throughout the community. Dozens of distinctive shops and boutiques are found in smaller, neighborhood shopping centers throughout the community.

Major retail centers range from the Streets at Southpoint, a super-regional mall that was named by USA Today as one of the nation's “10 great places to spend it all in one place,” to the family-owned Northgate, a regional mall whose unique shops and full-size nostalgic carousel have made it a Durham landmark.
