The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University presents "El Greco to Velázquez: Art during the Reign of Philip III," one of the most important old master exhibitions ever shown in the Southeast. Among the works of two giants of Spanish art, visitors will discover great unknown masters of painting and sculpture.  

El Greco to Velázquez: Art during the Reign of Philip III is the result of new scholarship that rewrites a period of art history and introduces accomplished artists who were contemporaries of El Greco and Velázquez but have been ignored for four centuries

This is a ticketed exhibition with timed entry. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $5 for children 7-17, children under 6 admitted free

Nasher Museum Location: 2001 Campus Drive, at Anderson Street and Duke University Road. The museum is situated between Duke University’s East and West campuses and is adjacent to the Sarah P. Duke Gardens.

The museum’s 100-space public parking lot, east of the building, is accessible from either Campus Drive or Duke University Road. The path from the parking lot to the main entrance is about 100 yards.

Exhibition Size: More than 50 paintings, among them seven works by El Greco and three by Velázquez, three life-sized sculptures and more than 50 pieces of period glass and ceramics.
