Official visitor information site for Durham, NC

Duke Basketball Museum & Sports Hall of Fame

History of Hoops

Duke University Coach Mike Krzyzewski is the winningest coach in collegiate men’s basketball history having broken Bobby Knight’s record of 902 in the early part of the 2011-2012 season. Despite dissenting opinions from tobacco road rivals, the Duke Blue Devils are inarguably a force to be reckoned with on the hardwood.

Many visitors are enticed to Durham because of the team; the Duke Basketball Museum & Sports Hall of Fame is adjacent to Cameron Indoor Stadium at the Schwartz/Butters Athletic Center for those fans to satisfy their curiosity about Duke Basketball history.

View a photo gallery of the museum and visit the museum weekdays from 9AM to 5PM and on weekends during home football and basketball games.
