In addition to all the ways that Durham is where great things happen, there is also an inviting nightlife emerging. The last several years have been kind to Durham in that it has enjoyed a healthy resurgence as a place to visit, do business and live. Concurrent with that has been a surge in nightlife options that is still growing and diversifying.

 

As Durham is so open and accepting, there is only one true LGBT bar, but others that are definitely leaning in that direction. There is also a rapidly emerging Indie Rock scene, as well as several places to catch live jazz; internationally acclaimed jazz superstar and Durham resident Brandford Marsalis has been known to pop up every now and again.

 

Take a look at all of Durham’s entertainment choices for that time after the sun goes down. You might just find some ways that Durham is the place where great things happen in ways that hadn’t been an option in years past.
