The Schumann Project: "Frauenliebe und Leben" and "Dichterliebe," two stories of love and loss. Soprano Andrea Edith Moore is a regular singer with the North Carolina Opera where she "garnered the biggest ovations" for her performance of Micaela in Carmen. She served on the voice faculty at UNC-Chapel Hill for seven years and now teaches privately. Tenor Jason Karn has impressed critics and audiences alike with his vibrant, bright tone and dramatic characterizations. His engagements include his Avery Fisher Hall debut with the American Symphony Orchestra in Vincent D'Indy's "Fervaal," his Washington National Opera debut as Scaramuccio in "Ariadne auf Naxos," and Cassio in "Otello" with Opera Carolina. David Heid comes to North Carolina after a successful career in New York City as a vocal coach/accompanist. He is currently a staff accompanist and teaches piano at Duke University as well as being in demand throughout the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area as a collaborative artist.
