Sumptuous detail and bold colors herald the opening of two new exhibits at the Durham Arts Council. Cool off at the DAC while you take in “Existential Distress,” drawings by Jessica Burke, in the Allenton Gallery, and “M.E.” – mixed media work by Susie Silver in the Semans Gallery. Refreshments, a family friendly craft, and live music from Mosaic Jazz will be featured in the DAC Pavilion! In "M.E.," Susie Silver’s inspiration for her imagery, and her process, comes from the natural movement of liquids, rock formations and aerial views of land and water. “Existential Distress," featuring drawings by Jessica Burke, is a meditation on death as an ever present backdrop to childhood fantasies and adult realities. "Existential Distress" and "M.E." are on view at the Durham Arts Council from July 20 - September 16, 2018.
