NCCU 28TH Annual Jazz Festival

Five days of festivities featuring NCCU's Jazz Studies Program. Jazz favorites Nate Smith and the Russell Malone Quartet are among the headliners named for the festival, scheduled for April 23-28. A series of musical concerts will be offered for jazz and music enthusiasts of all ages.

This year's lineup will include jazz concerts with accomplished musicians from the NCCU Jazz Studies Program and the nation. All events are free and open to the public with the exception of Friday and Saturday night concerts, which require tickets.

The festival will kick off with the NCCU Instrumental and Vocal Jazz Combos Concert at 7 p.m., Monday, April 23, at B.N. Duke Auditorium on NCCU's campus.

NCCU Jazz Program faculty will perform a live concert at 7 p.m., Tuesday, April 24, in the B.N. Duke Auditorium.

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 25, the NCCU Instrumental and Vocal Jazz Combos will perform a special concert in B.N. Duke Auditorium.

NCCU Vocal Jazz Ensemble will open for renowned jazz artists Nate Smith and Kinfolk at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 27, in the PSI Theater at the Durham Arts Council, 120 Morris Street, Durham, N.C.

The Russell Malone Quartet will conclude the festivities with a performance with an opening set by the NCCU Jazz Ensemble at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 28, also at the PSI Theater.

Individual tickets for the Friday and Saturday night concerts can be purchased at the NCCU Box Office or via the link here. Weekend ticket packages are available for $40.
